The name 'Euodos' comes from the Greek word for a smooth journey, reflecting our goal of creating a platform that makes using Android a more seamless and trustworthy experience.
'Eu' means good or well in Greek, and 'odos' means journey. Together, 'Euodos' signifies a smooth and well-guided journey, which encapsulates our vision for the platform.
Focused on what matters
We don't want to be another project that adds all the features imaginable, but ends up overwhelming users. Our focus is on what truly matters for a smooth and reliable experience.
By keeping the platform focused, we aim to provide users with a reliable and enjoyable experience without unnecessary complexity.
A custom ROM should not ask you to trade stability for control. Euodos is being built to deliver both.
What is included
The first stable release introduces the core Euodos experience across every officially supported device:
- Straightforward setup procedure
- Smooth launcher
- Additional customisability that makes sense
- Battery and performance tuning validated on each supported device
- Monthly platform security updates
The first devices
We have a handful of maintainers working on various devices to bring them up to the Euodos standard.
A device will only be marked stable when all stock features work reliably and meet our quality standards.
What comes next
Version 1.0 is a starting point. Following the stable release, we will focus on expanding device support, refining the installation experience, and opening more of our planning process to community proposals.
